Usrah Content - What is Usrah?

The Definition of Usrah      Usrah is an Arabic word 'الأسرة' which means family. Usrah can be defined as a group of Muslim individuals who gather for the purpose of doing Islamic religious activities such as a discussion on a topic. Members of the group of Usrah also work together and help each other towards a better understanding and practice of Islam.  The Pillars of Usrah      The pillars of Usrah consists of three elements: 1) Taaruf - getting to know one another  2) Tafahum - understanding each other 3) Takaful - helping each other

Why we need to study more to improve amal?   1) Knowledge make a person more humble.      The more a person attain knowledge, the more humble and virtuous the person would be. Imam Syafie once said, "the more I gain knowledge, the more I know about my stupidity". From this, we can reflect that the more we seek knowledge, the more we realize that there are many things we do not know. Therefore, we are encouraged to seek knowledge as much as possible so that it can be practiced in daily actions at the same time lead us to be more humble.  2) A Muslim is able to improve the quality of worship.        The more knowledge a person have, the better his amal will be. When we have knowledge, we can pay attention to something in more detail that we sometimes overlook. Besides that, we will be more passionate in doing the amal when we know the purpose and advantages of doing it. For example, learning and understanding the meaning of the recitation in the prayer can lead us be more since
